Dermaplaning

A non-invasive skin treatment that involves using a surgical scalpel to gently scrape away dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the surface of the skin and is used to exfoliate the skin, remove unwanted hair, and promote cell turnover.

Microneedling:

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure used to treat various skin issues by stimulating collagen production.

Benefits:

  • Collagen Production: The micro-injuries stimulate collagen and elastin production, essential proteins for skin strength and elasticity.

Lashes and Brows

We offer the following lash and brow treatments:

Brow Lamination

Brow lamination is a cosmetic treatment for eyebrows that involves the use of a chemical solution to reshape and set the brow hairs in place. The process works by breaking down the bonds of the eyebrow hairs and then using a setting lotion to hold them in a new position.

Brow and Lash Tint

A lash and brow tint is a cosmetic treatment that involves using a semi-permanent dye to enhance the color and definition of the eyelashes and eyebrows. During the treatment, a trained esthetician or lash artist will apply a special dye to the lashes and/or brows, which will be left on for a specific amount of time before being washed off.

Lash Lift

Lash lift is a cosmetic treatment that involves curling and lifting the natural lashes to enhance their appearance. During the treatment, a specially formulated lifting solution is applied to the lashes, which lifts and curls them from the root.

Lash Extensions

Lash extensions are applied by a trained esthetician using a special adhesive to attach individual synthetic lashes to your natural lashes, creating a fuller and longer appearance. The process is carefully done to ensure a natural look while enhancing the overall appearance of your lashes.

Lash Removal

Lash removal is a process of safely and gently removing eyelash extensions. During the procedure, a trained esthetician will use a specially formulated remover solution to dissolve the adhesive bond between the extensions and natural lashes.

Microblading and Microshading

Microblading

Microblading is a technique used to create the appearance of fuller, more defined eyebrows. During the treatment, a trained technician will use a small, handheld tool with a series of fine needles to make small incisions in the skin and deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin. The result is a semi-permanent, natural-looking eyebrow that can last up to two years with proper care.

Microshading

Microshading is a similar technique to microblading, but instead of creating individual hair-like strokes, the technician will use a specialized tool to create a soft, powdered effect. This can help to fill in gaps, create a more defined shape, and enhance the overall appearance of the eyebrow.

Aftercare

Phase One

Day 1 to 7

What to expect

During the initial healing phase your brows may appear a lot darker than what you were hoping for, do not panic, they will soften!

Slight redness and swelling is not uncommon, and you may experience a mild stinging sensation.

The brows can appear up to 25% darker and bolder in width than they will be once fully healed. Your skin is red under the pigment which causes the colour of the pigment to appear darker.

How to treat it

Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment using a cotton bud, morning and night, two times per day.

In the rare instance that the wound does weep, gently dab it with a tissue or sterile cotton pad.

Avoid hot sweaty exercise and long hot showers for the first 7 davs.

Do not apply make-up or sunscreen directly to the brows until fully healed, and avoid tinting.

Avoid swimming. Chlorine can bleach the pigment and will cause further dryness around the area.

Do not soak in the bath. Warm water can allow bacteria to penetrate the wounds.

Avoid over exposure to the sun for up to 6 weeks after the procedure. The unhealed skin will be prone to burning and excess sun can cause the pigment to fade.

Avoid sleeping face down on your pillow for the first 2 weeks. No Facials, botox, chemical peels or laser treatments for 6 weeks.

Phase Two

Day 7 to 14

What to expect

As the skin starts to naturally exfoliate, the excess pigment surrounding the brow will start to flake away resulting in a narrower appearance.

You can expect some scabbing and itchiness.

Do not rub, peel or scratch the area, this can cause scarring and loss of pigment.

Some of the strokes may disappear completely. Layers of dead skin will mask the pigment, but once it naturally peals away the full strokes will reappear.

How to treat it

Keep the area moist by applying aftercare ointment several times a day to relieve and soften the skin.

Phase Three

Day 14 to 28

What to expect

The strokes will start to appear again but can be patchy. This will be refined during the touch up procedure.

All of the scabs should have naturally peeled away by this phase.

It is normal for your brows to have lost up to 1/3 of the pigment colour.

Phase Four

1 to 2 months

What to expect

After 28 days your brows should be fully healed and ready for a touch up.

Your touch up must be booked within 4 – 8 weeks from the date of your initial procedure.

The touch up is used to refine the strokes and give further definition to your shape.

Phase Five

2 to 18 months

What to expect

Your microbladed brows can last up to 18 months, but a touch up is recommended every 12 months to maintain the look.

Hair Removal

We offer head to toe waxing services.

Waxing is a popular method of hair removal that involves applying a warm or hot wax to the skin and then quickly removing it, along with the unwanted hair, using cloth strips or by pulling the wax off directly.

Eyelash Extensions

We offer classic, volume and hybrid lash extensions:

Classic

Classic lash extensions is a popular cosmetic procedure to enhance the length, thickness, and curl of natural eyelashes. It involves attaching individual synthetic lashes to each natural lash, resulting in a fuller and more dramatic appearance.

Hybrid

In a hybrid lash extension application, individual synthetic lashes are applied to each natural lash, similar to classic lash extensions. However, in addition to the classic technique, volume lash extensions are also incorporated. Volume lashes consist of multiple thinner lash extensions carefully fanned out and applied to a single natural lash, creating a fuller and more dramatic effect.

Volume

Volume lash extensions is a technique used to achieve a glamorous and voluminous look for the eyelashes. It involves applying multiple lightweight synthetic lash extensions to a single natural lash, creating a fan-like effect.

Aftercare

Do not wet the extensions for 8-24 hours after the application.

Avoid hot steam from a shower or sauna for 8-24 hours after the application.

Do not rub your eyes excessively.

Do not use an eyelash curler or attempt to trim the extensions.

Avoid getting oily based products on the extensions (cream, make-up, etc.).

Any mascara used on top of the extensions must be oil-free (preferably no mascara).

Cleanse your extensions on a regular basis using oil-free lash cleanser.

Please contact us if you feel any discomfort.

Spray Tan

What is a Spray Tan?

A spray tan is a cosmetic treatment that involves spraying a solution onto the skin to create a natural-looking tan without the need for sun exposure. The solution typically contains DHA (dihydroxyacetone), a colorless chemical that reacts with the amino acids on the skin’s surface to produce a temporary tan.

Why Spray Tan?

1. Safer for your skin.
2. You get an even and consistent application.
3. You can choose from a wide range of customizable options.
4. It is quick and convenient.
5. It is temporary and it fades naturally.

Aftercare

Immediately following your tanning application you should NOT:

Wash your hands.

Put on tight clothing for atleast 5 hours.

Exercise.

Swim or immerse yourself in water.

Apply moisturizer.

Sit directly on leather or light fabric seats and furniture the day of your tanning session. Sit on a towel or cloth instead.

Wear shoes or socks.

Put jewellry back on.

Put your bra back on, it leaves distinct lines.

Book any other treatments on the day of your tan (facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, shaving and hair treatments.)

Post tan shower:

Wait at least 8-10 hours after your tanning application before showering. You need to allow enough time for the reaction to take place, the longer the better.

If you had an application with bronzer, you will see colour washing off the first time you shower. DO NOT be alarmed, this is just the surface colour that was applied. Your skin will continue to tan as the self-tan reaction occurs on your skin.

Maintenance:

Apply moisturizers, morning and evening, after you post-tan shower. Hydrated skin is essential in maintaining a longer life to your tan.
